35th Anniversary Corvette
I have recently purchased number 2040, a very rare 4+3 equipped anniversary edition with only 68xxx miles on it. I've managed to find out that my car was the actual one used for GM promotion of the 1988 Corvette. Looking for more details and restoration parts has been difficult so I thought I would track down as many of the 2050 cars with the Z01 option out there to find out how many are still left on the road and to put together owners of this collectable C4. While searching for different parts and pieces to fix my #2040 I have purchased #0785 as well... figured I should have an automatic and the 4+3. I tried to tell my wife one is for her but she's not falling for it...
Apparently there were a total of 4 B2K Callaway optioned Anniversary cars, 2 manual shift and 2 auto. From what I have found one of the manual shift cars was a total lose do to fire but I'm not sure on the build number for the car. B2K produced a production of only 4 cars, two were automatics (a $6500.00 option from Callaway) and two were 4 speed manuals, this resulted in an extremely rare car. The B2K package was offered for an additional $26,500.00 bringing the total sticker price to over $61,495.00; when you could buy a base coupe for $29,489.00.

Don't know the series number of this car but the VIN is 1G1YY2183J5116365 and has a Salvage title as of June 2010. It is an auto car with 45,273 miles. This looks to be a pretty easy fix and seems to have an interior that is in very good shape, so hopefully it will be back on the road one day soon.

The 35th Anniversary Package featured a white exterior with white wheels, white seats and steering wheel as well as special emblems and a console mounted plaque. 2,050 Coupes were produced at an extra cost of $4,795 over the $29,489 base price. Only 9% of the Corvettes manufactured in 1988 received the Z01 35th Anniversary Package.
